Backend Engineer
Overview
Nexulyze is looking for a Backend Engineer to design and build robust, scalable server-side systems. You will be responsible for API development, database design, and ensuring high availability of our services.
This role demands strong problem-solving skills and experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern backend frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Build and maintain microservices architecture using Node.js and Python.
- Design and optimize database schemas for PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production services.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for all backend services.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts and data models.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in Node.js (Express/Fastify) or Python (Django/FastAPI).
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
Additional Skills
- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS).
- Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture patterns.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Rust or Go for high-performance services.
- Knowledge of machine learning model deployment and serving.
- Experience with real-time communication (WebSockets, SSE).
- Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 technologies.
